Just Keep Climbing: Summer Update

We have been saying it a lot this year: Girls Can Move Mountains.
This past spring, nearly 3,000 girls along the Front Range participated in Girls on the Run. With the support of donors, corporations, foundations, and the communities we serve, Girls on the Run Rockies was able to bring our program to 33 new sites. In all, 196 teams joined us for the Spring season and 2,993 girls, with the support of 600 coaches, learned that they are strong, smart, and capable of accomplishing their goals.

HealthONE, Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, Bellco Credit Union, and Pikes Peak Road Runners made the Girls on the Run 5K series a roaring success with over 6,400 runners and nearly 3,500 cheering spectators taking part in our end-of-season celebrations.

We always tell the girls that the finish line is just the beginning. It is true for us too. As we cross the finish line at our final 5K, our team begins planning for the next season so that more girls can learn to honor their voices, embrace their gifts, and celebrate their strengths.

This Fall season we look forward to expanding to new communities with 20 new program sites, returning to over 150 current schools, and, most of all, meeting 2,500 new girls. We are always humbled by the women who volunteer as Girls on the Run coaches each year and this fall, we look forward to meeting over 250 new coaches and seeing over 300 returning coaches.

Come find your happy pace and join us at one of the 5K celebrations on November 10th and 11th.
