As part of our 20th Anniversary celebration, Girls on the Run of the Rockies—a program that envisions a world where all girls know and activate their limitless potential—is thrilled to announce the Living Limitless Grant. This unique opportunity empowers current and former Girls on the Run Rockies participants to pursue their dreams and bring their aspirations to life.
With grants ranging from $250 to $2,500, this initiative is designed to empower participants and alumnae to live without limits by providing the financial support needed to pursue personal goals, projects, or aspirations.
The grant timeline is as follows:
- Through May 1- accepting applications
- May 2 - June 30 - application review
- September 1 - notification of awards
- October 11 - public award announcement in celebration of International Day of the Girl

Who is eligible to apply for the Living Limitless grant?
Any current or past Girls on the Run of the Rockies participant can apply! Yes, you must have been a participant with our council at some point over the past 20 years.
What can these funds be used for?
This is the exciting part! You can use these funds to support YOUR dreams - want to trek the Colorado Trail but you need a backpacking tent for your adventures? Apply! Want to start your own business but you need to build a website? Apply! Do you need a mixer to bake up cookies for your audition for Food Network? Apply! The sky is the limit for this grant. Requests from $250 - $2,500 will be accepted.
What will be required of me for follow-up if I am awarded a grant?
After receiving funding, all recipients will be required to film an interview with Girls on the Run staff in October 2025 (date pending), and complete a brief follow up request by 2/1/2026.
How do I apply for the Living Limitless Grant?
You can download the Living Limitless Grant information HERE. All applications must be submitted via email to [email protected] by 11:59 PM on May 1, 2025.
Can I apply for funding for multiple goals or projects?
While each applicant should submit one proposal, it can cover multiple goals or interconnected projects, as long as the total funding request stays within the $250–$2,500 range.
How are recipients selected for the grant?
Recipients will be chosen based on the clarity and creativity of their application, the alignment of their goal with Girls on the Run's mission, and the potential impact of the funding.
What happens if my application is incomplete or submitted late?
Applications must be complete and submitted by 11:59 PM on May 1, 2025, to be considered. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Can groups or teams apply?
Only individual applications are eligible. However, projects involving collaborations with others are allowed if one individual is the designated lead applicant.
Will I need to submit proof of participation in Girls on the Run of the Rockies?
Yes, proof of participation will be requested to confirm your eligibility. Be prepared to share details such as your program year or team location in your application.
When and how will I be notified of the grant decision?
Award recipients will be notified by September 1, 2025, via the contact information provided in the application.
